A recent cybersecurity incident involving a third-party vendor has impacted patients of Share Ourselves, a nonprofit healthcare organization based in Orange County, California. Between Nov. 1, 2024, and Oct. 2, 2025, TriZetto Provider Solutions (TPS), a company that provides billing-related services to healthcare providers including Share Ourselves, experienced unauthorized access to its systems.

TPS first detected suspicious activity on Oct. 2, 2025, and after an internal investigation, notified Share Ourselves on Dec. 15, 2025, that the breach had affected many of its patients.

The TriZetto Provider Solutions data breach exposed a wide range of sensitive information. The data potentially compromised includes names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, health insurance member numbers (which, for some individuals, may be a Medicare beneficiary identifier), provider names, health insurer names, primary insured information, as well as other demographic details, health information and health insurance information.

The breach was reported to the California Attorney General’s office on Dec. 26, 2025. Impacted individuals have been notified by mail.

Share Ourselves' response

After being notified by TPS, Share Ourselves began working to gather additional information to determine if there was any ongoing threat to patient data. According to the company, TPS has assured them that there is no further threat at this time. Share Ourselves is coordinating with TPS to ensure affected individuals receive proper notification and support.

In the coming weeks, those whose information was impacted should expect a separate letter from TPS. This letter will provide more details about the incident and will include instructions on how to access mitigation services, such as free credit monitoring. Until that letter is received, Share Ourselves has made a dedicated phone line available at 949-536-3987 for patients with questions.

Given the nature of the information exposed, affected individuals should remain vigilant for signs of identity theft or fraud. It is advisable to monitor credit reports, review insurance statements for unfamiliar activity and follow any additional instructions provided by TPS.
