Cantex Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers and Health Info

Cantex Inc., a manufacturer of PVC electrical conduit and other nonmetallic electrical products headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, disclosed a data breach that exposed sensitive personal information belonging to consumers.

The breach was reported to the Texas Attorney General on Aug. 21, 2026, with 1,568 Texas residents identified as affected.

The data breach at Cantex Inc. resulted in the exposure of several categories of sensitive personal data. According to the company's breach disclosure, the types of information compromised included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial information (such as account numbers, credit or debit card numbers) and health insurance information.

Cantex's response to the breach

Cantex Inc. is notifying individuals affected by the data breach through U.S. Mail. Individuals who receive a notification letter from the company should read it carefully for any specific instructions or enrollment information related to protective services the company may be offering.
