Peoples Bank, a community bank with 129 branches, has experienced a major data breach. The cybersecurity incident compromised both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) were compromised.
The data breach was disclosed to the Texas Attorney General's office on June 30, 2025, reporting 668 Texans affected. Exposed information includes names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, Driver's license numbers, medical information and and financial information including account number and credit or debit card number.
In addition to required state disclosures, Peoples Bank will notify affected individuals with the data breach details.
