ArtiFlex Manufacturing Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers

ArtiFlex Manufacturing Inc., a privately held automotive parts manufacturer headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its computer network.

The company began notifying affected consumers by written notice on Oct. 29, 2026, and disclosed the incident to the New Hampshire Attorney General on the same date.

ArtiFlex Manufacturing became aware of suspicious activity within its network on or about Aug. 23, 2026.

An investigation conducted with the help of third-party specialists determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain systems within the ArtiFlex Manufacturing environment between Aug. 22, 2026, and Aug. 23, 2026. During that window, certain files were accessed or acquired by the unauthorized actor.

Following the investigation, ArtiFlex Manufacturing undertook a review of the affected files to determine what personal information they contained and to identify the individuals whose data was involved.

The types of personal information that may have been accessed or acquired included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's licenses or other government-issued identification, passport information and medical or health insurance information.

Notably, on Sept. 10, 2026, a ransomware group known as Chaos claimed responsibility for the attack on a dark web site hosted on the Tor network. The group claimed to have obtained 1,200 GB of data from the organization.

ArtiFlex Manufacturing's response to the breach

The company is offering affected individuals complimentary access to Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring and identity theft protection services. Affected individuals must enroll by Jan. 29, 2027, using the activation code included in their notification letter.
