Dulcich Inc., doing business as Pacific Seafood Group, experienced a data breach impacting at least 40,066 individuals. The company detected suspicious activity and an investigation determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to the company's internal network between June 24, 2024 and June 25, 2024, and potentially acquired files containing sensitive information.
The cyberattack compromised both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI). Exposed information included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license, state ID and passport information, financial account information, medical diagnosis, medical treatment information, and health insurance information.
Pacific Seafood published a Notice of Security Breach on its website and began notifying affected individuals by mail on Oct. 14, 2025. The cybersecurity incident was also disclosed to the Maine Attorney General's office on the same day.
In response to the breach, Pacific Seafood Group acted quickly to contain the threat and engaged external cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident. In addition to required state and federal disclosures, Dulcich, the parent company of Pacific Seafood, is offering affected individuals with compromised Social Security numbers 12 free months of Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring services.
