Muller Insurance, an insurance agency licensed in 25 states, experienced a data breach. The cybersecurity incident was disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on Oct. 1, 2025.
The data breach compromised sensitive information, including names, Social Security numbers and driver’s license details. The the total number of impacted individuals has not been released, however the type of exposed information puts Muller clients at risk of identity theft.
Muller Insurance began notifying affected individuals by mail on Oct. 1, 2025. The breach notification did not specify the exact method by which the breach occurred or identify the responsible party.
In addition to required state and federal disclosures, the insurance agency is offering affected individuals 24 free months of IDX credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
