
A recent data breach at Dentistry.One, LLC, a virtual-first dental telehealth provider based in Metuchen, New Jersey, has put sensitive personal information at risk for an undisclosed number of individuals. The incident was formally disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office on Dec. 26, 2025, and a detailed notification was sent to affected consumers.
The breach involved unauthorized access to certain Dentistry.One systems, potentially exposing a range of sensitive data. The information at risk may include personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, addresses, government-issued IDs and Social Security numbers.
According to the official notice, Dentistry.One discovered the incident and launched an internal review to determine the scope of the exposure. The company stated that the unauthorized party was identified and all data in their possession was confirmed deleted. Additionally, the unauthorized party signed a termination certificate attesting to the deletion and non-misuse of the data.
In response to the breach, Dentistry.One has taken several steps to protect affected individuals and prevent future incidents. The company enhanced its technical security measures and revised internal policies to reduce the risk of similar breaches. They have also implemented additional safeguards and are continuing to monitor their systems for suspicious activity.
For those potentially impacted, Dentistry.One is offering complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll for 24 months. This includes single bureau credit monitoring, proactive fraud assistance, and identity theft restoration services. Affected individuals are encouraged to activate these services by following the instructions provided in the notification letter.
