Community Services Of Missouri, a provider of court-related alcohol, drug, and driving programs, experienced a cyberattack. On July 21, 2025, the organization detected technical issues to a server that housed sensitive client information. On Aug. 10, 2025, an investigation revealed that a cybercriminal may have accessed or acquired data from the server.
The data breach compromised personally identifiable information (PII), specifically related to clients with felony records. Exposed information included names and Social Security numbers. This type of breach puts individuals at risk for identity theft or fraud.
A threat actor known as Weyhro claimed responsibility for the breach and posted about it on a dark web forum on Aug. 11, 2025.
Community Services Of Missouri published a Notice of Data Breach on its website. The organization has not released the total number of individuals possibly impacted by the cybersecurity incident, but it is believed to be in the thousands.
Community Services Of Missouri responded to the incident by securing its systems, engaging outside cybersecurity specialists, and notifying federal law enforcement. Because the company could not determine exactly which individuals were affected, a dedicated call center has been established to answer questions at 888-844-1268.
