On Feb. 26, 2026, Applied Natural Gas Fuels Inc. (also known as Applied LNG), a leading producer and distributor of liquefied natural gas and renewable LNG in the United States, disclosed a data breach to the Hampshire Attorney General.

The incident, which was first discovered on Dec. 22, 2025, involved unauthorized access to sensitive personal information.

According to the official disclosure, the breach impacted at least one New Hampshire resident, though the total number of affected individuals nationwide was not specified.

The investigation revealed that the attacker may have accessed and potentially acquired personally identifiable information (PII), including names, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers and Social Security numbers. The breach was detected when Applied LNG identified suspicious activity in its systems and initiated incident response procedures.

By Feb. 20, 2026, the company determined that certain personal data had been compromised and began notifying affected individuals.
