Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center (“ANHC”) has experienced a data breach. The medical center very recently became aware of the cybersecurity incident and has launched an investigation. It has been determined that an unauthorized actor may have accessed certain internal systems and obtained patient and employee records.

According to reports, an anonymous cybercriminal group has claimed to have stolen over 10,000 patient records. The total number of impacted individuals has not been released but is believed to include as many as 60,000 current and former patients, impacting at least 3,226 resident in Washington, 2,191 in Texas, 106 in Massachusetts, 54 in Maine, 36 in New Hampshire and 25 in Rhode Island.

The investigation is ongoing, and the details and number of people affected are subject to change.

This type of cyberattack often compromises both both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI). Exposed information may include names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, health insurance information, medical records and financial account information.

Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center published a security incident notice on its website and is posting updates as the investigation continues.

The hospital also disclosed the data breach to the California, Maine, Oregon, Washington and New Hampshire Attorney Generals' offices on Nov. 19. 2025. Subsequent disclosures were made to the Massachusetts Attorney General and the Texas Attorney General's Office.  The company is notifying impacted individuals by mail.

Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center's response

In response to the breach, ANHC has taken immediate steps to secure its systems and notified law enforcement. The organization is working with cybersecurity experts to identify impacted individuals and will be required to issue certain state and federal disclosures. The company is also offering complimentary credit monitoring services for 12 to 24 months through Experian.

ANHC has also set up a dedicated call center at 844-976-2439, Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., PT.
