
Acme Truck Line Inc., a transportation and logistics company headquartered in Gretna, Louisiana, disclosed a data breach that affected approximately 21,799 individuals in the United States.
The breach was disclosed to the attorneys general of Maine, Nebraska and Texas. Acme Truck Line discovered the breach on Feb. 19, 2026, and began notifying affected individuals by written notice on April 30, 2026.
Approximately two weeks after the breach was discovered, the ransomware group known as Medusa claimed responsibility for the attack on the dark web. The claim was posted on March 3, 2026.
The types of personal information that may have been accessed or acquired included names combined with one or more of the following: Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, state identification card numbers, financial account information, direct deposit information, tax withholding records and health insurance enrollment information.
The company is offering affected individuals 24 months of free three-bureau credit monitoring, credit report and credit score services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company specializing in fraud assistance and remediation. The monitoring services provide alerts when changes occur on a credit file.
Beyond credit monitoring, the services include identity theft and fraud resolution assistance.
The company's offer also includes $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance.
To enroll in the free services, affected individuals can visit the Cyberscout enrollment site and enter the unique activation code included in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed within 90 days of the date of the letter.
