Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged that Legacy Health disclosed certain types of patients’ personally identifiable information to Meta and Google without patient permission. The claims included breach of confidence, breach of implied contract, unjust enrichment, and negligence.
Legacy Health denies the allegations but agreed to the settlement to avoid the expense and uncertainty of continued litigation.
