Individuals who lived in California and visited NorthBay Healthcare's website or patient portal between Nov. 29, 2020, and May 14, 2024, may qualify to submit a claim for a $15 cash payment and additional benefits from a class action settlement.

NorthBay Healthcare Corp. agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it shared users' personal and health information with third parties such as Facebook and Google through tracking technologies on its websites and patient portal. The incident allegedly disclosed sensitive personal and health information without authorization or consent.

Who can file a claim?

Class members must meet the following criteria:

  • They resided in California when they visited NorthBay's website or patient portal during the period from Nov. 29, 2020, to May 14, 2024.
  • Tracking tools on NorthBay's websites or patient portal may have disclosed their personal or health information to a third party without authorization or consent.

How much is the class action settlement payout?

Class members can claim one or more of the following benefits:

  • Cash payment: Class members who submit a valid and timely claim form can receive a one-time payment of $15.
  • Privacy protection service: All class members will automatically receive a one-year subscription to CyEx Privacy Shield Pro at no cost. The settlement administrator will send enrollment codes by email or mail.

How to claim a NorthBay Healthcare class action settlement payment

To receive the $15 cash payment, class members must file a claim online or download, print and mail or email a completed PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. Class members may also request a paper claim form by calling the toll-free number or emailing the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is March 12, 2026.
