Beyond Illusion LLC, doing business as Museum of Illusions New York, and RP Illusions Corp. agreed to pay $580,721 to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging the companies failed to timely disclose processing fees for online ticket purchases. The plaintiff claimed this violated New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law § 25.07(4).

How much is the ticket fee payout?
Pro rata payment: The settlement provides for a pro rata cash payment to each eligible class member who submits a valid claim. This means their payment will be the total amount of processing fees they paid for online ticket purchases during the class period relative to the total processing fees all class members who submit valid claims paid.
The total settlement fund is $580,721. After deducting settlement administration expenses, attorneys’ fees and costs and a service award to the class representative, the settlement administrator will distribute the remaining funds to class members.
How to claim a class action payment
Class members can file a claim online using the online claim form or download, print, complete and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Jan. 2, 2026.
