This class action lawsuit was filed because Lily Transportation LLC allegedly used driver-facing cameras in Illinois trucks to collect biometric data, such as scans of face geometry, without providing required written disclosures or obtaining written consent from drivers. The Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act prohibits such practices.

Lily Transportation denies any wrongdoing or liability but agreed to settle the case to avoid the expense and risk of continuing litigation.
