
LCMC Health patient portal account holders who accessed their account between Jan. 1, 2019, and Nov. 30, 2022, may qualify to claim $15 and data protection from a class action settlement.
LCMC Health Holdings Inc. and Louisiana Children’s Medical Center agreed to pay $1.55 million to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging they improperly transmitted personally identifiable, nonpublic medical information and communications to Facebook and Google through their website and patient portal.
Whois eligible to file a claim?
Class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They are a natural person residing in the United States.
- They are or were an LCMC Health patient portal account holder.
- They accessed their LCMC Health patient portal account at any time between Jan. 1, 2019, and Nov. 30, 2022.
Individuals who received a notice about this settlement did so because LCMC's records identified them as meeting these criteria. However, those who did not receive a notice but believe they qualify may still submit a claim.
How much can class members get?
Each eligible class member who submits a valid and timely claim is entitled to receive a $15 cash payment.
Additionally, all class members are automatically entitled to one year of CyEx Privacy Shield Pro, a digital privacy protection service, which includes the following features:

How to claim a class action rebate
Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print, fill out and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Nov. 25, 2025.

What is required to submit a claim?
All class members must provide the unique ID from the settlement notice they received. Online claimants must also provide the PIN from the same notice. Those who cannot locate their ID or PIN or misplaced their notice should contact the settlement administrator at info@LCMCDataSettlement.com or 844-496-0605 and provide their full name and mailing address.

Settlement fund breakdown
