Consumers who purchased a HexClad pan, pot, wok or other cookware between Feb. 1, 2022, and March 31, 2024, may qualify to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.
One Source to Market LLC, doing business as HexClad Cookware, agreed to pay $2.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it misrepresented certain cookware products as nontoxic, PFAS-free, PFOA-free or otherwise free from certain chemicals. How much is the false advertising payout?
Pro rata payment: The fund will be divided proportionally among all valid claimants. No claimant can receive more than what they actually paid for eligible products. The amount each class member receives depends on:
- The total number of valid claims submitted
- The amount each claimant paid for eligible HexClad products (actual purchase price, including sale or discounted prices)
- The net settlement fund remaining after all deductions
If, after the first round of payments, there are leftover funds (for example, due to uncashed checks), a second round of payments may be made provided the additional payment is at least $5 per claimant and does not exceed the amount each person paid for eligible products.

Why was there a class action lawsuit?
The class action lawsuit alleged HexClad Cookware falsely advertised, labeled and marketed certain products as nontoxic, PFAS-free, PFOA-free or otherwise free from certain chemicals. The plaintiffs claimed these representations were misleading and violated consumer protection and false advertising laws.
HexClad denies all allegations of wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the risks and costs of ongoing litigation and provide compensation to customers more quickly.
