
Job seekers who applied for a position with The Seven Motor Corp. in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 21, 2026, may be eligible to claim an estimated $2,172.30 from a class action settlement.
The Seven Motor Corp. agreed to pay between $1,750,000 and $2,670,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to disclose wage scales or salary ranges and/or a general description of benefits in job postings for positions in Washington as required by state law.
Who can file a claim?
Individuals are eligible to participate in this settlement if they meet all of the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening in the state of Washington with The Seven Motor Corp. between Jan. 1, 2023, and April 21, 2026.
- The job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits for the position.
The settlement administrator will determine eligibility based on The Seven Motor Corp.'s records.
How much can class members receive?
Each eligible class member who submits a valid claim form will receive an equal share of the net settlement fund after deducting attorneys' fees and costs, service awards to class representatives and administration costs. The estimated payment per person is $2,172.30, but the actual amount may vary depending on how many people submit claims.
The settlement fund is structured as follows:
- The minimum settlement fund is $1,750,584.47 (if 533 or fewer class members submit claims).
- The maximum settlement fund is $2,665,000 (if all 1,066 eligible class members submit claims).
- For every claimant above 533, the The Seven Motor Corp. will increase the fund by $1,683.23 per person up to the maximum fund.
The settlement administrator characterizes payments as nonwage damages and will report them as 1099 income.
How to claim a settlement payment
Class members can file a claim online using the unique ID and PIN found in the settlement notice they received or download a PDF claim form, complete it and mail or email it to the settlement administrator.

Payout options
The settlement administrator will mail checks to the addresses provided. Class members must cash them within 180 days of issuance.
$2.67 million settlement fund breakdown
The $2,670,000 settlement fund covers:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $25,000
- Attorneys' fees: $786,175
- Attorneys' expenses: Up to $5,000
- Service awards to class representatives: $9,500 for one representative and $5,000 each for nine representatives ($54,500 total)
- Payments to eligible class members: The remainder of the fund

When is the Petzing et al. v. The Seven Motor Corp. payout date?
If the court approves the settlement at the final approval hearing and there are no appeals, the settlement administrator will mail checks to eligible claimants after it approves claims.
