Job seekers who applied for a position with Snowflake Inc. in Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and Oct. 17, 2025, may be eligible to claim an estimated $824.82 from a class action settlement.
Snowflake Inc. agreed to pay $4.77 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging its job postings for positions in Washington did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits as required by state law.
Who are the class members?
Class members must meet all of the following criteria:
- They applied for at least one job opening with Snowflake Inc. in the state of Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and Oct. 17, 2025.
- They responded to a job posting that did not disclose the wage scale or salary range for the position.
- They did not indicate on their application, resume or other materials (such as a LinkedIn profile) that they resided outside of the United States at the time of application.
If an individual received a notice by mail or email, Snowflake Inc.'s records indicate they are eligible to participate.
How much can class members get?
Each eligible class member who does not exclude themselves from the settlement is entitled to an equal share of the class fund. The estimated payment for each class member is $824.82.
The settlement administrator will calculate this amount by dividing the net settlement fund (after deductions for attorneys’ fees, the service award and administrative costs) equally among all eligible class members.
Payments are considered nonwage damages and will be reported on IRS Form 1099.
No action needed to receive payment
Eligible class members do not need to file a claim to receive compensation. They will automatically receive a payment after the court finalizes the settlement.
Those who moved or did not receive a notice by mail should contact the settlement administrator to provide their updated address.

Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged that Snowflake Inc. violated Washington law by not including wage scales or salary ranges and/or a general description of benefits in job postings for positions in Washington. The lawsuit claimed this omission violated RCW 49.58.110.
Snowflake Inc. denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty, risk and expense of continued litigation.
