
Employment seekers who applied for a job with Dowl LLC in Washington state between Jan. 1, 2023, and May 13, 2026, may be eligible to claim up to $5,000 from a class action settlement.
Dowl LLC agreed to pay between $805,236.16 and $1,210,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging its job postings in Washington did not disclose the wage scale, salary range or a general description of benefits as required by state law.
Who can file a claim?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening with Dowl LLC in the state of Washington.
- They submitted their application between Jan. 1, 2023, and May 13, 2026.
- The job posting they responded to did not include the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits for the position.
The settlement administrator used Dowl LLC’s records to identify eligible class members. Those who received a settlement notice are likely included.
How much can class members get?
Each eligible class member who submits a valid claim form can receive an equal payment up to $5,000. The actual amount will depend on the number of valid claims submitted.
The settlement fund is structured as follows:
- The minimum settlement fund is $805,236.16, which covers up to 241 claimants (50% of the class of 482 people).
- For every additional valid claimant above 241, Dowl will increase the fund by $1,658.76 per person up to a maximum of $1,205,000.
- If fewer than 241 people file claims, the settlement administrator will distribute the remainder of the fund to the Legal Foundation of Washington.
How to claim a class action payout
Class members can file a claim online or download, print and complete the PDF claim form (Page 24 of the settlement agreement) and mail or email it the settlement administrator.

Required information
To file an online claim, class members must enter the notice ID and PIN from the settlement notice they received. Those who are unable to locate their ID and PIN should contact the settlement administrator at info@DOWLSettlement.com or 888-369-3780 and provide their full name and mailing address.
Payout options
The settlement administrator will mail checks to the address claimants provide. They must cash their checks within 180 days of issuance. If they do not, the administrator will send the funds to the Washington unclaimed property fund.

The $1,205,000 settlement includes.
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $25,000
- Attorneys’ fees: $355,475
- Attorneys’ expenses: Up to $5,000
- Service award to class representative: $20,000
- Payments to eligible class members: Remainder of the fund

When is the Dowl LLC settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will mail payments once the court resolves any appeals and grants final approval to the settlement.
Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged Dowl LLC violated Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act by failing to include wage scales, salary ranges or benefit descriptions in job postings.
Dowl LLC denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty and cost of ongoing litigation.
