Byram Healthcare Centers Inc. and Owens & Minor Distribution Inc. agreed to pay up to $1.01 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging they posted job openings in Washington without disclosing the required wage scale or salary range as mandated by state law.
Who can file a claim?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- They applied for a job opening with Byram Healthcare Centers Inc. or Owens & Minor Distribution Inc. between Jan. 1, 2023, and June 24, 2025.
- The job posting was for a Washington-based in-person or remote job.
- The job posting did not disclose a wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of benefits or other compensation.
- The application could have been submitted through the companies’ own websites or via a third-party recruiting channel.
The settlement administrator used the defendants’ records to identify potential class members. Individuals who received a notice about this settlement did so because the companies’ records show they meet the criteria.
How much can class members receive?
Eligible class members who submit a valid claim form by the deadline can receive an estimated payment of $1,340.69-$5,000. The actual amount depends on the total number of valid claims submitted and final court-approved deductions for attorneys’ fees, costs and service awards. The settlement administrator will divide the net settlement fund equally among all valid claimants.
How to claim a class action rebate
Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print, complete and mail or email the PDF claim form (Page 26 of the settlement agreement) to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Oct. 6, 2025.

Up to $1.01 million settlement fund breakdown
The $672,145.35-$1,010,000 settlement fund includes:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $15,000
- Attorneys' fees: $297,950
- Attorneys' expenses: $5,000
- Service award to the class representative: $15,000
- Payments to class members: The remainder of the fund
For every participating class member above approximately 50% of the total settlement class (i.e., 256 settlement class members), the settlement administrator will increase the value of the net settlement fund by $1,340.69 until it reaches the maximum $1,010,000.

When is the Dudley v. Byram Healthcare Centers Inc. payout date?
