Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged Amazon Retail LLC failed to provide legally compliant meal and rest breaks and did not pay all wages owed to hourly employees in Washington.
Amazon denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the risk, burden and expense of further litigation and a possible trial.
