Individuals who received a notice from Wenco Management LLC stating a data security incident may have affected their personal information may be eligible to claim up to $3,500 from a class action settlement.

Wenco Management LLC agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging a threat actor accessed its network on or about Aug. 21, 2022, potentially affecting personally identifiable information and/or protected health information.

Who is eligible for a data breach payout?

Class members must reside in the United States and have received a notice from Wenco Management LLC stating a data breach potentially affected their personally identifiable information or protected health information.

How much can class members receive?

Option 1: Credit monitoring and extraordinary losses

  • Up to three years of three-bureau credit monitoring services
  • Reimbursement for documented, unreimbursed extraordinary losses up to $3,500

OR

Option 2: Alternative cash payment and lost time

  • Alternative cash payment of up to $45
  • Reimbursement for attested lost time up to four hours at $12.50 per hour (maximum $50)

Total payments for Option 2 are subject to a $100,000 total cap. If valid claims exceed this cap, the settlement administrator will reduce payments proportionally.

How to claim a settlement payment

Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print, complete and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Oct. 10, 2025.

Is proof or documentation required to submit a claim?

  • All claimants must provide the unique ID located on the notice they received. Online claimants must also provide the PIN from the same notice.
  • For reimbursement of extraordinary losses, claimants must submit documentation, such as bills or invoices, proof of payment, a description of the loss and a signed statement affirming the loss is related to the data incident and not reimbursed elsewhere.
  • For credit monitoring, alternative cash payment and lost time claims, claimants must select the appropriate option on the claim form.

The class action lawsuit alleged Wenco Management LLC experienced a data security incident in August 2022 that may have exposed certain files containing personally identifiable information and/or protected health information. The plaintiff claimed Wenco improperly disclosed this information.

Wenco denies all wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the expense, inconvenience and risk of ongoing litigation. The settlement allows affected individuals to receive compensation or credit monitoring without further litigation.
