What happened?
On or about March 13, 2025, Vibra Hospital of Sacramento detected suspicious activity involving multiple employee email accounts. An investigation revealed that six employee email accounts were accessed by a threat actor between March 12, 2025, and March 22, 2025.
A review completed on Aug. 4, 2025 determined that the data breach compromised both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI). The hospital published a data security notification on its website on Oct. 3, 2025 and began notifying impacted patients by mail the same day.
