







On March 13, 2025, Vibra Hospital of Sacramento discovered suspicious activity involving several employee email accounts. An investigation determined that six employee email accounts were accessed without authorization between March 12 and March 22, 2025. A review was completed Aug. 4, 2025 and confirmed that sensitive personal and protected health information may have been accessed by an unauthorized actor.
Compromised information included patient names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, dates of medical service, medical diagnosis information, individual health insurance policy numbers, physician or medical facility information, medical condition or treatment information, Medicare or Medicaid numbers, patient account numbers and financial account numbers. Vibra Hospital published a notification of data security incident on its website on Oct. 3, 2025.
The hospital also began notifying impacted patients by mail on Oct. 3, 2025. The cyberattack was disclosed to the California Attorney General's office on Oct. 24, 2025.
After confirming the unauthorized access, Vibra Hospital of Sacramento secured its email environment and engaged cybersecurity experts to reinforce its existing security measures. In addition to required state and federal disclosures, the healthcare organization is providing affected individuals 12 months of free TransUnion Cyberscout single-bureau credit monitoring services.
