What Happened?

A recent cybersecurity incident at Synopsys resulted in the exposure of sensitive consumer information.

The incident involved a ransomware attack by a group known as Arkana Security, who claimed responsibility on June 6, 2025, via a posting on the dark web. The attackers threatened to publish stolen data, which included contracts, billing receipts, documents, EDA files, research, intellectual property, and employee information.

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on April 2, 2026. So far, the breach affected at least four individuals in Massachusetts.
