What Happened?

In November 2025, Modern Health discovered that an unauthorized individual in its provider network accessed a limited number of member profiles on its behavioral health platform. The company disabled the affected profiles and launched an internal investigation. By Jan. 5, 2026, Modern Health finalized the list of individuals whose information may have been compromised.

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on Jan. 16, 2026. In Massachusetts, two people were reported as affected by the incident.

The exact information exposed varies by individual. Modern Health stated that Social Security numbers and financial information were not impacted by this breach; however, other protected health information may have been exposed.
