Evolve Mortgage Services offers a variety of solutions, such as loan origination, underwriting, due diligence, and compliance reviews. The company is also known for its proprietary technology platforms, including digital mortgage document tools.

What Happened?

On or around Sept. 24, 2025, Evolve Mortgage Services identified suspicious activity in its systems. A third-party cybersecurity investigation determined that unauthorized access to certain information occurred between Sept. 17 and Sept. 24, 2025.

A ransomware group known as INC RANSOM claimed responsibility for the attack, stating they obtained 20 terabytes of data dating back to 2016, including sensitive customer information such as SSNs, client ID scans, home and work addresses, personal, home, and work phone numbers, full credit histories. The stolen data was posted on the dark web on Oct. 30, 2025.

The company reported this breach to the California Attorney General, Indiana Attorney General, Maine Attorney General, New Hampshire Attorney General, and Texas Attorney General starting on Feb. 4, 2026. Additionally, the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation was notified.

A total of 6,669 individuals were affected. This includes 557 residents of Texas, 108 of Massachusetts, 51 of Indiana, 15 of Maine, and ten of New Hampshire.
