What happened?
In 2024, Community Realty Management discovered suspicious activity in its email system. An investigation revealed that unauthorized access occurred to a limited number of email accounts between Sept. 10, 2024, and Oct. 22, 2024. The data breach impacted both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) of 11,787 people in the United States.
CRM Residential began notifying affected individuals by mail on Aug. 11, 2025 and published a Notice of Security Incident on its website.

Community Realty Management disclosed the data breach to the Maine Attorney General's office on Aug. 12, 2025 and the Vermont Attorney General on Aug. 13, 2025.
