







A recent data breach at Hyundai AutoEver America, an automotive technology services provider based in Fountain Valley, Calif., has potentially exposed the personal information of individuals connected to its operations. The incident took place over a span of nine days, beginning Feb. 22, 2025, and ending March 2, 2025.
On March 1, 2025, Hyundai AutoEver America became aware of unauthorized activity and launched an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity experts to determine the scope and impact of the breach.
Through the investigation, it was determined the last observed unauthorized activity was on March 2, 2025. The information exposed in this incident included names, Social Security numbers, and government ID numbers..
The first disclosures were submitted on Nov. 3, 2025, to the California Attorney General and on Nov. 4th to the Massachusetts Attorney General.
For those potentially affected, Hyundai AutoEver America is offering a complimentary two-year credit monitoring and identity protection service through Epiq Privacy Solutions. This includes three-bureau credit monitoring and identity protection services.
Individuals who received notification letters have 90 days from the date of the letter to activate this free service using a unique enrollment code. The company is encouraging affected individuals to remain vigilant by regularly reviewing account statements and monitoring free credit reports for suspicious activity. Information on how to obtain free credit reports and place fraud alerts or security freezes with nationwide credit reporting agencies is also being provided.
It is recommended that anyone who receives a notification from Hyundai AutoEver America take advantage of the offered credit monitoring services, monitor their financial accounts closely, and report any suspicious activity to financial institutions and the appropriate authorities as soon as possible.
