Everside Health Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers

Everside Health, a direct primary care provider that offers employer- and union-sponsored healthcare services, was affected by a data breach at Aesto LLC, a third-party vendor that provides healthcare data migration and archiving services.

On or about Dec. 18, 2025, Aesto experienced a network security incident that impacted a portion of its Amazon Web Services infrastructure. At the time of the incident, Aesto was storing protected health information on behalf of Everside Health on its network.

Upon learning of the issue, Aesto launched an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity professionals experienced in handling these types of incidents. The investigation included a forensic analysis of the affected systems and a manual review of documents stored on the impacted portion of the network.

On May 26, 2026, more than five months after the incident first occurred, Aesto confirmed that between Dec. 2, 2025, and Dec. 18, 2025, protected health information stored on its network may have been accessed or acquired by an unauthorized actor.

The types of information potentially exposed included full names, Social Security numbers and health records.

The breach was disclosed to the California Attorney General on July 31, 2026. The total number of individuals affected nationwide was not disclosed in the available filing.

Everside Health's response to the breach

Aesto is offering affected individuals a complimentary membership to Privacy Solutions ID through Epiq, a credit monitoring and identity protection service. To enroll, individuals can visit Privacy Solutions ID, click "Activate Account" and enter the activation code included in their notification.

Aesto has set up a dedicated toll-free response line at 833-918-8060 for individuals with questions about the incident. The line is staffed by professionals familiar with the breach and is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
