F & P Georgia Manufacturing Inc., a Tier 1 automotive parts supplier based in Rome, Georgia, disclosed a data breach that affected approximately 12,132 individuals in the United States, including 22 Indiana residents.

After F & P Georgia became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network, they conducted an investigation. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to the company's network between June 24, 2025, and July 2, 2025, and copied or viewed certain files.

The types of personal information exposed in the breach included Social Security numbers and driver's license information.

The breach was reported to the Indiana Attorney General and the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation starting on April 20, 2026. The company began notifying consumers on April 20, 2026.

F & P Georgia's response to the breach

F & P Georgia is offering affected individuals 12 months of free credit monitoring and identity restoration services as an added precaution.

The monitoring services include single-bureau credit monitoring, a credit report and a credit score. Enrolled individuals will receive same-day alerts when changes occur to their credit file.

To enroll, affected individuals can visit Cyberscout's activation page and enter the unique code included in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed within 90 days of the date of the letter.

For additional questions, the company has set up a dedicated assistance line at 1-833-289-5163, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time, excluding major U.S. holidays.

Steps to take if your information was exposed

  • Place a fraud alert or credit freeze with Equifax (1-888-298-0045), Experian (1-888-397-3742) and TransUnion (1-833-799-5355) to help prevent new accounts from being opened without authorization.
  • Request free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com and review them for any unfamiliar accounts or inquiries.
  • Monitor bank and financial accounts for unauthorized transactions, as stolen Social Security numbers and driver's license data can be used to commit identity fraud.
  • Report suspected identity theft to the Federal Trade Commission at IdentityTheft.gov or by calling 1-877-438-4338.
  • Consider requesting an IRS Identity Protection PIN to help prevent fraudulent tax returns from being filed using a stolen Social Security number.
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts that reference F & P Georgia or this data breach by name, as scammers may try to exploit the situation to steal additional information.
