Maine Course Hospitality Group, a hotel management company headquartered in Freeport, Maine, disclosed a data breach that compromised sensitive personal and health information of at least 553 Vermont residents.

On Nov. 5, 2025, a ransomware group known as Qilin posted a claim on the Tor network, a part of the dark web, stating that it had obtained data belonging to Maine Course Hospitality Group.

The types of consumer information confirmed to have been exposed in the breach included government ID numbers, Social Security numbers and health records.

The breach was reported to the Vermont Attorney General on July 31, 2026.
