
Eckerd Connects, a national organization specializing in workforce development and family support services, experienced a major data breach. On Nov. 11, 2024, the organization detected suspicious activity within its internal network. The cyberattack compromised both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) of at least 68,585 individuals across the U.S., including 541 residents in Texas, 292 in Massachusetts 66 in New Hampshire and 62 in Maine.
An investigation determined that exposed information includes names, addresses, state-identification number, dates of birth, Social Security and tax ID numbers, health insurance information and medical information.
Eckerd Connects published a Notice of Data Security Incident on its website, and has began notifying impacted individuals and their families by mail. The company also disclosed the data breach to the Vermont and Maine Attorney Generals' offices on Dec. 17, 2025, and the Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Texas Attorney Generals shortly thereafter.
To support those potentially impacted, Eckerd Connects has established a dedicated and confidential response line in order to answer questions and provide guidance on protecting against misuse of personal information. The company is also offering complimentary credit monitoring services through Experian IdentityWorks for affected individuals.
