







Arnold Oil Company of Austin, L.P., a regional supplier of automotive products and services, experienced a data breach. On or around Jan. 22, 2025, the company discovered suspicious activity on its network. An investigation determined that the network was subject to unauthorized access between Jan. 20, 2025 and Jan. 22, 2025.
The data breach affected the personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) of current and former employees and other individuals involved with Arnold Oil Company. Compromised information includes names, dates of birth, driver's license or state ID numbers, Social Security numbers, health insurance information and medical information.
Arnold Oil began notifying affected individuals on Aug. 15, 2025. The company disclosed the data breach to the New Hampshire Attorney General's office on Aug. 15, 2025 and the Texas Attorney General's office on Aug. 18, 2025.
The total number of affected individuals has not been released, but includes at least 865 Texas residents and one in New Hampshire. The exposure of both PII and PHI indicates a severe cybersecurity incident, as exposed information can be used for identity theft, financial fraud or unauthorized access to medical benefits.
In addition to required state and federal disclosures, the company is offering 12 months of free TransUnion Cyberscout credit monitoring and identity protection services to affected individuals.
