Why did this class action settlement happen?
This class action lawsuit was filed because former Walgreens employees alleged that the company failed to provide timely final paychecks after termination, in violation of Oregon wage laws (ORS 652.140 and ORS 652.150).
Walgreens denies the allegations but agreed to settle the case to avoid the cost and uncertainty of further litigation and a possible trial.
