
Individuals residing in the United States who received notice that the November 2024 Saratoga Harness Racing data breach may have compromised their personal information could qualify to submit a claim for up to $2,500 from a class action settlement. The cybersecurity incident impacted approximately 20,866 current and former customers and employees.
Saratoga Harness Racing Inc. agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to adequately protect a targeted cyberattack that resulted in unauthorized access to files containing sensitive personal information belonging to current and former customers and employees. The information included names, Social Security numbers and driver’s license or state identification numbers.
Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?
Class members are individuals residing in the United States whose private information the November 2024 Saratoga Harness Racing data breach potentially impacted and/or who received notice about the incident.
How much will the settlement payment be?
The settlement includes the following benefits:
- Cash payment A – Out-of-pocket documented losses: Class members can claim up to $2,500 in documented out-of-pocket losses traceable to the data breach that occurred between Nov. 1, 2024, and May 11, 2026. This includes monetary losses from identity theft or fraud, fees for credit reports or freezing/unfreezing credit, costs to replace IDs and postage to contact banks. Expenses that a third party already reimbursed are not eligible.
- Cash payment B – Alternate cash: Class members who do not submit an out-of-pocket documented losses claim can submit a claim to receive a one-time $50 cash payment.
- Credit monitoring: All class members can elect to receive one year of three-bureau credit monitoring, which includes $1 million in identity theft insurance, real-time credit file monitoring, dark web scanning, public records monitoring and access to fraud resolution agents if the product detects suspicious activity.
How to claim a class action rebate
To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to complete and mail it to the settlement administrator.

Required proof and claim information
- Online claims require the unique ID and PIN from the class member's settlement notice.
- Out-of-pocket loss claims require supporting documentation, which may include receipts, invoices for services, bank and credit card statements showing unreimbursed fees or charges due to fraud, and other proof of identity theft or fraud.

When is the Saratoga Harness Racing data breach payout date?
