Service Spot $500,000 Reservation Fee Disclosures Settlement

California residents who booked parking through ParkOn.com or CheapAirportParking.org between July 1, 2024, and June 9, 2025, and paid a mandatory reservation fee may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.

Service Spot LLC and TripGate LLC agreed to pay $500,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging they failed to properly disclose mandatory reservation fees for online bookings in violation of California’s Honest Pricing Law.

Who can file a claim?

The settlement class includes all California residents who made a reservation through ParkOn.com or CheapAirportParking.org and paid a mandatory reservation fee at checkout between July 1, 2024, and June 9, 2025.

How much can class members receive?

Pro rata payment: The settlement administrator will use the $500,000 settlement fund to pay attorneys’ fees, service awards and administration costs. It will then calculate each eligible class member's share of the remaining fund based on the total amount of reservation fees they paid during the class period and the number of valid claims submitted.

The settlement administrator may reduce payments if the total claims exceed the net settlement fund.

How to claim a settlement payment

Class members can submit the online claim form or download, print, complete and mail the PDF claim form to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Dec. 17, 2026.

Why is there a class action settlement?

The class action lawsuit alleged Service Spot LLC and TripGate LLC failed to properly disclose mandatory reservation fees for online bookings on their websites in violation of California’s Honest Pricing Law.

The companies denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and uncertainties of ongoing litigation. As part of the settlement, the companies also agreed to clearly disclose reservation fees in the future unless the law changes.
