If you had your vehicle repossessed by Right Way Sales and Leasing (operated by ABQ, Inc., FJS, LLC, or U Drive Acceptance Corp, Inc.) and received a notice from them starting December 8, 2016, you may be eligible to receive a cash payment of approximately $329.73 from a class action settlement.

Right Way Sales and Leasing, through its operators ABQ, Inc., FJS, LLC, and U Drive Acceptance Corp, Inc., has agreed to pay $300,000 to settle a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges that the company sent unlawful notices to consumers after repossessing vehicles, in violation of the law.

Who is eligible for a settlement payout?

Class members meet the following criteria

  • You owned a vehicle that was subject to a secured loan with Right Way Sales and Leasing (ABQ, Inc., FJS, LLC, or U Drive Acceptance Corp, Inc.).
  • Your vehicle was repossessed by Right Way on or after December 8, 2016.
  • You received a repossession notice from Right Way Sales and Leasing after your vehicle was repossessed.

How much is the repossession class action payment?

  • Pro Rata Cash Payment: Each class member will receive a payment estimated at $329.73. Final amount to be determined by court approval.
  • Debt Forgiveness: Right Way will forgive all class member outstanding debts and request credit agencies remove or update credit reporting information accordingly.

No claim form required

  • Class members do not need to file a claim to receive a settlement payment.
  • You can update your address information on the settlement website using the Notice Id and Pin from the settlement notice.
  • If your name has changed, a marriage license, divorce decree, or court order must be provided to the settlement administrator.
  • For deceased class members, representatives must provide a a death certificate and documentation showing the new payee as legal beneficiary.
