Safe Fleet Data Breach Class Action Settlement

Individuals in the United States who received notice that their private information may have been affected by the April 2024 Safe Fleet Holdings data breach could qualify to submit a claim for up to $2,500 from a class action settlement. The cybersecurity incident impacted approximately 7,478 people.

Safe Fleet Holdings LLC and Clarience Technologies LLC agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging they failed to adequately protect personal information, resulting in a data incident in April 2024. The breach compromised personally identifiable and protected health information, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and health insurance information belonging to current and former employees.

Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?

Class members are individuals residing in the United States whose private information the data breach affecting Safe Fleet Holdings and Clarience Technologies may have been impacted on or around April 13, 2024, including those who received notice of the incident.

How much are settlement payments?

Class members have the following benefit options:

• Compensation for out-of-pocket losses: Class members can claim up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses that occurred between between April 13, 2024, and Dec. 2, 2026, and are traceable to the data breach. This includes monetary losses from identity theft or fraud, fees for credit reports or freezing/unfreezing credit, costs to replace IDs and postage to contact financial institutions.
• Alternative cash payment: Class members who do not submit an out-of-pocket losses claim can submit a claim to receive a one-time $50 cash payment.
• Credit monitoring services: All class members can elect to receive two free years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete. Services include $1 million in financial fraud insurance and monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized financial transactions and high-risk transactions and access to a fraud resolution agent if needed.

How to claim a class action rebate

To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print and complete the PDF claim form and mail or email it to the settlement administrator.
