Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged a cyberattack on RINA Accountants & Advisors’ computer systems resulted in unauthorized access to personal information, including Social Security numbers. The plaintiff claimed RINA did not adequately protect this sensitive data, leading to potential harm for those affected.
