
Current and former patients of Marlboro-Chesterfield Pathology PC whose personal information the company stored on its systems and the data breach announced in May 2025 compromised may be eligible to submit a claim for up to $1,000 and/or credit monitoring from a class action settlement. The cybersecurity incident impacted approximately 235,000 people.
Marlboro-Chesterfield Pathology agreed to settle a class action lawsuit related to the breach. It alleged tthe company failed to properly secure and safeguard sensitive personally identifiable and protected health information, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and medical records belonging to current and former patients.
Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?
Class members are individuals residing in the United States whose PII and/or PHI Marlboro-Chesterfield Pathology's systems maintained and the data breach announced on or around May 22, 2025, compromised.
How much are settlement payments?
Class members have the following benefit options:
- Documented losses cash payment: Class members can claim up to $1,000 for documented monetary losses from financial fraud or identity theft the data breach caused.
- Alternative cash payment: Class members who do not submit a documented losses claim and whose Social Security number the data breach compromised can submit a claim to receive a $10 cash payment.
- Credit monitoring: All class members can elect to receive one year of three-bureau credit monitoring services with 3B Credit Monitoring, which includes $1 million in identity theft protection.

To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to complete and mail to the settlement administrator.
