Why is there a class action settlement?

The class action settlement resolves claims that Lands’ End failed to adequately protect customer data, resulting in a data breach in December 2024. The lawsuit alleged cybercriminals accessed files containing sensitive personal information.

Lands’ End denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and risks of continued litigation.
