Individuals who applied for employment with The Boeing Co. or Boeing Financial Corp. in the state of Washington between Jan. 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026, and the job posting did not include a wage scale, salary range or general description of benefits may qualify to submit a claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.

The Boeing Co. and Boeing Financial Corp. agreed to pay between $5,240,000 and $8,040,000 to settle a class action lawsuit. The plaintiff claimed the companies failed to include required wage and benefit information in job postings for positions in Washington in violation of state law. The settlement class includes 4,022 individuals.

Who can file a claim?

Class members must meet the following criteria:

  • They applied for a job opening in Washington with The Boeing Co. or Boeing Financial Corp. between Jan. 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026.
  • The job posting for the position did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or a general description of all benefits for the position

How much are settlement payments?

Pro rata cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a cash payment up to $5,000. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the total number of claims filed.

How to claim a settlement payout

To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or mail or email the claim form included with the notice to the settlement administrator.

Settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund of up to $8,004,000 will include:

  • Settlement administration costs: Up to $35,000
  • Attorneys' fees and costs: $2,372,980
  • Service award to class representative: $20,000
  • Payments to approved claimants: Total determined by number of valid claims filed

When is The Boeing Co. job posting settlement payout date?

The settlement administrator will issue payments to approved claimants approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.

Why did this class action settlement happen?

This class action lawsuit alleged The Boeing Co. and Boeing Financial Corp. violated Washington law by not including wage scales, salary ranges or benefit descriptions in job postings for positions in Washington.
