Elanco Animal Health, Inc.; Bayer Healthcare LLC; Bayer Healthcare Animal Health, Inc.; Bayer AG; and Bayer Corporation have agreed to pay $15,000,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged false labeling and marketing of the Seresto Products. How much can I get?: Settlement Class Members with valid proof of purchase can receive $13.00 per collar. Without valid proof, the amount is $13.00 per collar per pet, with a maximum of $26.00 per pet. Additional reimbursements are available for economic injuries, medical treatment costs, and pet death.

Can I Claim an Award?

The Settlement Class includes all persons in the United States, its territories, and/or the District of Columbia who purchased, for personal use and not for resale, any Seresto Product on or before July 8, 2024. This means that if you bought a Seresto flea and tick collar for your pet and did not resell it, you are likely eligible to claim an award from this settlement.

To be part of the Settlement Class, you must have purchased the product on or before July 8, 2024. The settlement applies to all such purchases, regardless of the number of collars bought. If you meet these criteria, you are entitled to submit a claim for a cash award.

Who is Excluded?

The Settlement Class does not include Defendants and their respective subsidiaries and affiliates, members, employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives and their family members. It also excludes Class Counsel, the judges who have presided over the litigation, local, municipal, state, and federal governmental agencies, and all persons who have timely elected to become Opt-Outs from the Settlement Class in accordance with the Court’s Orders.

  • Pet Death Reimbursement: Members can receive a $300 payment for the death of a pet (with a declaration) and 100% reimbursement of medical treatment and burial/cremation costs (with documentation).

$15,000,000 Settlement

The settlement amount agreed upon by the Defendants is $15,000,000. This fund will be used to pay Cash Awards, Notice and Administration Costs, Attorneys’ Fees and Costs, and Service Awards.

The settlement amount was determined to cover all eligible claims and associated costs. If the number of claims exceeds the available funds, the settlement amount may be prorated to ensure fair distribution among all claimants.
