
Consumers who purchased a Corsair DDR4 (non-laptop/SODIMM) desktop memory product with a rated speed greater than 2133 MHz or a Corsair DDR5 (non-laptop/SODIMM) desktop memory product with a rated speed greater than 4800 MHz in the United States between Jan. 14, 2018, and July 2, 2025, may qualify to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.
Corsair Gaming Inc. agreed to pay $5.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it misrepresented the advertised speeds of certain DDR4 and DDR5 desktop memory products. The lawsuit claimed Corsair led consumers to believe the products could achieve advertised speeds “out of the box” without the need for overclocking or BIOS adjustments.
Who can file a Corsair Gaming claim?
Class members must have purchased one or more Corsair DDR4 (non-SODIMM/laptop) desktop memory products with a rated speed greater than 2133 MHz or Corsair DDR5 (non-SODIMM/laptop) desktop memory products with a rated speed greater than 4800 MHz while they resided in the United States between Jan. 14, 2018, and July 2, 2025.
Qualifying products include desktop memory modules and not a SODIMM (laptop) modules. Class members may have purchased the product(s) directly from Corsair or through authorized resellers.
How much can class members receive?
Pro rata payment: Eligible class members who submit a valid claim will receive a pro rata share of the $5.5 million settlement fund. The exact amount each claimant receives will depend on the total number of valid claims and the number of qualifying products claimed.
There is a maximum of five qualifying purchases per household without proof of purchase. Class members who claim more than five products must provide proof of purchase for the additional products if requested.
How to claim a class action rebate
Class members can file a claim online or download, print and complete a PDF claim form to mail to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is Oct. 28, 2025.

When is the DDR4 and DDR5 settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments approximately 45 days after the court grants final approval and resolves any appeals.
Why did this class action settlement happen?
The class action lawsuit alleged Corsair Gaming Inc. advertised certain DDR4 and DDR5 desktop memory products with rated speeds that could not be achieved without overclocking or BIOS adjustments. The plaintiffs claimed this violated consumer protection laws and constituted a breach of express warranty.
Corsair denies these allegations and maintains its properly labeled its products, which performed as represented.
