
Individuals who received a notice from Alpha Baking Co. Inc. stating a January 2025 data incident compromised their private information may be eligible to claim up to $4,000 from a class action settlement.
Alpha Baking Co. Inc. agreed to pay $1.05 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging a targeted cyberattack exposed sensitive personal information. The lawsuit claimed the company failed to adequately protect private data, including names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information and protected health information.
Who can file a claim?
The class includes all living individuals whom Alpha Baking Co. Inc. sent a notice stating a January 2025 data incident compromised their private information.
How much is the Alpha Baking payout?
Documented losses: Class members who experienced actual, documented, out-of-pocket losses due to the data incident can claim up to $4,000 in reimbursement. They cannot claim reimbursement for expenses a third party already reimbursed. The losses must have occurred between Jan. 23, 2025, and June 22, 2026, and may include:
- Losses from identity theft or fraud
- Fees for credit reports, credit monitoring or freezing/unfreezing credit
- Costs to replace identification documents
- Postage to contact banks or other institutions by mail
- Alternate cash payment: Class members who did not incur or cannot document specific losses may claim a one-time $75 cash payment.
- Credit monitoring: All class members may enroll in two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete, which includes $1 million in financial fraud insurance, monitoring for identity theft, unauthorized transactions and high-risk activity, and access to fraud resolution agents.
If the total value of valid claims exceeds the net settlement amount, the settlement administrator will reduce each payment proportionally.
How to claim a class action payment
Class members can complete the online claim form or download and print the PDF claim form, fill it out and mail it to the settlement administrator. The claim deadline is June 22, 2026.

What proof or documentation is necessary to submit a claim form?
- To file an online claim, class members must log in with the unique ID and PIN from the settlement notice they received.
- To file a documented losses claim, class members must provide receipts, bank statements or other documentation showing their out-of-pocket expenses. Personal certifications, declarations or affidavits alone are not sufficient but class members may include them to provide context or clarification. Those who have more expenses than can fit on the form may attach additional sheets with their name and signature.
- To file an alternate cash payment or credit monitoring claim, class members need to attest that they are a class member and select the appropriate option on the claim form.

$1.05 million settlement fund breakdown

When is the Alpha Baking Co. Inc. settlement payout date?
