
Individuals who visited Allina Health System’s websites or webpages as a portal user, non-portal bill pay user or non-portal scheduling user between Sept. 16, 2018, and May 11, 2026, or who were a non-portal, non-bill pay or non-scheduling patient during the same period may be eligible to submit a claim for a cash payment from a class action settlement.
Allina Health System agreed to pay $12,500,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging its use of pixel tracking technology on its websites and webpages disclosed personal and health-related information to third parties. The plaintiff claimed this activity potentially violated privacy rights of over 2.5 million individuals.
Who can file a claim for a website tracking payout?
The settlement includes two groups of class members:
- Group One class members: Individuals who accessed Allina’s websites or webpages as portal users, non-portal bill pay users or non-portal scheduling users between Sept. 16, 2018, and May 11, 2026
- Group Two class members: Individuals who were non-portal, non-bill pay and non-scheduling patients between Sept. 16, 2018, and May 11, 2026
How much are settlement payments?
The settlement is divided into two funds:
- $10,303,098 for Group One settlement class
- $2,196,902 for Group Two settlement class
Pro rata cash payment: Class members can submit a claim to receive a pro rata share of the Group One or Group Two net settlement fund. The settlement administrator will determine the final payment amount by the number of claims filed.
How to claim a class action rebate
To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or download a personalized claim form from the same link to print, complete and mail to the settlement administrator.

Settlement fund
The $12,500,000 settlement fund will include:

- Attorneys' fees: Up to $4,166,666.67

- Service awards to class representatives: $3,500 each ($10,500 total)
- Payments to approved claimants: Remaining settlement fund

When is the Allina Health System pixel tracking settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue payments to approved claimants approximately 90 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.
