301 Scrubs Investors LLC, which does business as Scrubs & Beyond and Kindthread, agreed to settle a class action lawsuit. The plaintiff claimed a targeted cyberattack in June 2024 exposed files containing sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and employee identification numbers.
Who can file a claim for a data breach payout?
Class members are individuals residing in the United States who received notice that the 301 Scrubs Investors data breach, which occurred in June 2024, implicated their private information.
How much will settlement payments be?
Class members have the following benefit options:
- Documented losses: Class members can claim up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket monetary losses related to the data breach. This includes losses from identity theft or fraud, fees for freezing and unfreezing credit or credit monitoring, costs to replace IDs and postage for contacting financial institutions. All claimed losses must have occurred between June 6, 2024, and May 18, 2026.
- Alternate cash payment: Class members who do not submit a documented losses claim can submit a claim to receive a one-time $50 cash payment.
- Credit monitoring: All class members can elect to receive two years of CyEx Identity Defense Complete credit monitoring, which includes $1 million in identity theft insurance and access to fraud resolution agents.
How to claim a class action rebate
To receive a settlement payment, class members can file a claim online or print the PDF claim form to complete and mail to the settlement administrator.
