What Happened?

Progress Foundation experienced a data breach on Feb. 2, 2026, when employees’ W2 forms were inadvertently disclosed to an unauthorized actor. This incident was discovered and investigated by the organization.

Starting on Feb. 12, 2026, the breach was disclosed to the attorneys general offices of California, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

Current disclosures do not detail how many individuals have been impacted as a result of the breach. At least one Massachusetts resident was recorded to have been affected.
